    Hello,

I don’t know where this will show up on your website or if it will at all. What I am wondering is if you will petition Stephen to run nationwide, or are if you are happy with his decision to limit his run (in the primaries at least) to SC. I understand he can decide to run nationwide in the general as an independent candidate and I am hopeful your website will spur him on to do as much.

  3. Kristin Williamson Says:

Do you really not care about this country at all?

  4. Alan Thornton Says:

The current administration has been one long running seven year sad joke, we might as well have four years of some funny jokes. And at least Colbert has told more truths and played it more straight than our current president.
I’ve never voted once in my 30 years of life, if Colbert ran, I would go out and vote on the first day open.

  5. Trevor Says:

If Stephen runs as an independent he will split the democratic vote and hand over the election to the republicans just like Ross Perot did. That’s why he MUST run as EITHER a Republican or Democrat. Sadly, realistically and historically speaking, those are the ONLY two parties that have a chance of winning this election and elections to come.

    Stevey, call me ;)

  7. Jean Low Says:

So, I’d like to come help with the grassroots movement in SC-I’m in Louisiana. Is some one donating some temporary lodging or what? Bring it.

How often does Stephen Colbert actually read blogs about himself? There are a lot of people who are very interested in hearing more on key issues and have questions them selves. i know a number of people at my school alone (a well acredited State University) who would love to see Colbert begin to travel across the nation and speaking to the people. We are the people, unfortunatly the socially cultured apathetic people, and we need to have someone who we can see and touch and talk to, not just see on television. presidents are too much of a celebrity, i’m sure that Stephen Colbert understands this, and, as a celebrity himself, knows what it may be like to be totally away from the people and unaffiliated… and i’m sick of the lack of effort of my congressmen and president to see what we, the people, have to say about our country; OUR country. I’ve registered and i’m sure i needed to enter my email address. Seeing as i am a supporter of Colbert not because he is a celebrity or because i’m a college student who enjoys a practical joke (for this is does not need to be a joke at all) i would like to hear back from what i’ve said and hat Stephen Colbert actually has to say.

    seriously,
    cody B

Recently one of my more astute associates wrote an email with the postscript, “Vote for Colbert! He is our only hope!”
I like the types of charities your charitable fund supports - “food and medical assistance for disadvantaged children, helping veterans and their familes, and environmental causes.”
America likes the idea of politicians with truthiness - it is quite a concept.
As the American Flag waves in a pre-daybreak breeze outside my window, I want you to know that America respects those who have the courage to say and do what is right.
May God bless America with a truthy and righteous President.

Y’all should read the website before you post. Otherwise, you (and I mean YOU Kristin Williamson and Trevor) will look really stupid. He has all kinds of links and explanations about this style of candidacy. Educate yourself before you speak.

  11. James Gren Says:

Rock on Colbert. Don’t be frustrated because of SC(they don’t have good sense of things anyhow). Instead get out here to MA and let these massholes know who should be running the big house.

  12. Mark Valenti Says:

    Cody…

Your University is failing you. Are you sure it’s accredited (please re-read until you finally get it).

As for Stephen’s presidency, I live in Michigan and I will be doing my first-ever write-in ballot. Colbert gets my vote.
